The Guangzhou chamber of commerce is a 320 meter, 60 story office tower, Architectural top is 360m. The lateral design of the structural system will be governed by both seismic forces and wind effect. Per the requirement of architectural Layout, the architectural core is at the west side of the plan.
To Minimize the stiffness eccentricity and the torsion effect due to the offset core layout, the core adopts steel gravity frame to reduce the structural Self-weight and stiffness. The steel eccentrically braced frame with excellent ductility is utilized at the interface between the core and office area.
