Extraordinary Methods in Architecture | Super Twists!

Course Summary

As people all over the world move to urban areas, humanity has experienced the greatest mass migration ever. As of 2009, more than half of the world’s population lived in cities. This number is expected to reach nearly 70% over the next 30 years. As a result, there is a global demand for high-density structures and urban environments that support living, working and sociable places.

The studio addresses the challenges facing contemporary designers to create a built environment that simultaneously optimizes the density of the city while at the same time combining comfort and revival, human performance, and a community while promoting an approach to resiliency and sustainability.

The Super Twists | Net-0 studio pursues this hypothesis in three ways, each with a set of preconditions, tactics, and goals.
